Everything on this site is free to read: all eight movements with their chair versions, and all
twelve of the Twelve-Section Brocade. A programme is the other thing — a plan that tells you
what to do on day eleven, printed on paper you can mark. There are two, and they are different
routines rather than two versions of one.
A four-week plan that tells you what to do on each of twenty-eight days, starting with three movements from a chair and ending with the full set. Illustrated movement guides with standing and chair steps, plus a cumulative tracker you can mark on paper. Longer movement guides continue on the next page.
One page per week — which movements, for how long, and the one thing to notice that day
Illustrated guidance for each movement, with standing and chair steps
Nine items to settle before your first session, printed in the pack itself
The full official seated routine — the preparation, the twelve forms and the closing — with every step written out, and a separate line telling you what to do instead when you are sitting in a chair rather than on a cushion. Each part is clearly titled, and longer instructions continue on the next page.
The preparation, the twelve forms and the closing position, clearly separated and numbered
Every step written out in full, with the count for each form
A separate block explaining what to do instead if you are sitting in a chair
You have never done the set, or you keep drifting off it
You want the traditional routine, or you already know the eight

What both of them are
Written and illustrated by LiHe (理和). The standing material follows the routine published
by China's General Administration of Sport, and every movement was checked against the official
correction notes one by one. The chair versions are this site's own adaptations and say so on
every page — we would rather you knew what was official and what was ours.
Digital files, nothing shipped, nothing to return. Seven days, no questions asked. If the pack is not right for you, write to the address on the contact page and the payment comes back. The files are digital, so there is nothing to send back.
Is the free material on this site enough on its own?
For learning the movements, yes — all eight and all twelve are readable here in full, and one page of them prints free. What you cannot read on a screen is what to do on day eleven. That is the whole difference.
Can I buy one and try the other later?
They are separate purchases with separate files, so yes, and you are not signing up for anything recurring.
Which one does the official Chinese body promote?
Both, in different forms. The eight-movement set is the standing routine; the Twelve-Section Brocade is the seated routine promoted by the General Administration of Sport of China in 2010. They are two different sets, not two versions of one.
What if neither is right for me?
Write before you buy and we will say so. 7 days to change your mind after payment as well.
